Canine Experts - Four Essentials

- with Mark German and Janice Wolfe

This workshop is for dog owners who have read books, watched videos and TV programs, or dragged their dogs off to classes in hopes of finally controlling their dogs behavior. Obedience does not change behavior. Once you see how easy it is to have the dog you always wanted, you will wonder why you ever listened to anyone else.

Mark and Janice travel around the country teaching “The Four Essentials” and helping individual people, at their homes, with “bad dogs” and appearing at book signings, stores, private and public dog events, and anywhere there is a “bad dog” that needs help. In this workshop Mark and Janice teach you how to live with your dog, with you, as the pack leader. Step-by-step,they teach you how to “fix” issues and even prevent problems before dominant behaviors turn into more serious issues; they teach YOU to become the leader of your pack, walk your dog the proper way, and set rules for the dog. Their ultimate goal is to have every dog in a forever home, with loving, calm, confident pack leaders in charge. For “bad dogs”,
There’s Hope!(c)

Dr. Chambreau, a veterinarian who lectures around the world, will show you a new way of thinking about health for animals and people too. Start now, when your animals are healthy, to select a lifestyle that will keep them healthy for as long as possible. Start now, no matter how ill they are, to incorporate better nutrition, Reiki, Flower Essences, Herbs, massage and other healing methods to maximize healing. Think now about hospice care at the end of their lives - euthanasia is not always the best choice for the animal and the family.

Bring your dogs to the class to learn about the early warning signs you can begin to treat now to lengthen the life span.

This is a one day workshop on Saturday, January 30, 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

Pre-registration is required due to the limited number of available slots. $50 with dog, $30 without dog. Limit of 6 spaces with dog per workshop and 30 spaces without dog.

AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program
   - with Lynne Bettinger

The AKC’s Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) Program started in 1989. CGC is a certification program that is designed to reward dogs who have good manners at home and in the community. The Canine Good Citizen Program is a two-part program that stresses responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

Many dog owners choose Canine Good Citizen training as the first step in training their dogs. The Canine Good Citizen Program lays the foundation for other AKC activities such as obedience, agility, tracking, and performance events.

As you work with your dog to teach the CGC skills, you'll discover the many benefits and joys of training your dog. Training will enhance the bond between you and your dog. Dogs who have a solid obedience education are a joy to live with-they respond well to household routines, have good manners in the presence of people and other dogs, and they fully enjoy the company of the owner who took the time to provide training, intellectual stimulation, and a high quality life. We sincerely hope that CGC will be only a beginning for you and your dog and that after passing the CGC test, you'll continue training in obedience, agility, tracking, or performance events.

The CGC testing will be held on Sunday January 31, from 11am to 3pm.  Limited to 20 – 25 sign ups.  $15.00

Pre-registration is required.  Upon registration you will receive info on the specific behaviors on which your dog will be tested.
